Style 7800 AKII is one packing that is nearly universal. Manufactured from flexible graphite with continuous filament carbon yarn used in the corners for extrusion resistance when clearances are excessive.
Style 7800 AKII is applicable for use in most services including steam, acids, bases, oils, solvents and water based solutions that are not strong oxidizers. (such as aqua regia, oleum, or red fuming nitric acid) |
Ideally suited for plantwide pump and valve applications within most industries. This includes boiler feed pumps, condensate pumps, refiners, agitators, mixers, & hydropulpers. In addition vacuum pumps, fire pumps, fly-ash pumps, & soot blowers. Most manually operated valves can be effectively sealed with Style 7800 AKII.
Because of it's rapid heat dissipation, Style 7800 AKII can run "flush free" without any cooling water thus eliminating the lantern ring.

Style 7800SC AKII is manufactured from the same yarns as our Style 7800 AKII with strategically placed silicone (SC) cores. The resilient elastomeric cores in concert with our ANTI-KEYSTONE®II design reduce the leakage and gland adjustments where shafts on agitators, hydroturbines, and other equipment are out-of-round, vibrate, or subject to impact. |
Applications include all the equipment listed for Style 7800 AKII Packing, within the limits specified, where vibration and shaft eccentricity is a problem. Style 7800SC AKII provides "flush free" service for pumps, agitators and mixers.

Style 702 AKII Graphite Ribbon Packing |
|
- pH 0-14
- Surface Speeds: to 5100 fpm (26 M/sec)
- Pressure
3,000 psi (206 BAR)
- Temperature: to 800°F (427°C)

Applications
|
Style 702 AKII is braided from a filament graphite ribbon form yarn lubricated with a small amount of PTFE and graphite. Style 702 AKII provides a "flat footprint" of packing on the shaft thus lowering the required gland load even more.
Style 702 AKII is applicable in the most severe corrosive mediums as well as acids, bases, solvents, and abrasive slurries. Not recommended for strong oxidizers or in solutions containing free halides. |
Mixers, agitators, centrifugal pumps, hydroelectric turbines, and valve stems. Style 702 AKII as a bottom anti-extrusion device with Style 7800 AKII is the ultimate combination set for rotating equipment when "flush free" service is attempted.

Style 702AF AKII is manufactured from the same yarn as our Style 702 AKII and also includes strategically placed AFLAS® rubber (AF) cores. The resilient cores in concert with our ANTI-KEYSTONE®II design reduce the leakage and gland adjustments where shafts on agitators, hydroturbines, and other equipment are out-of-round, vibrate, or are subject to impact. |
Applications include all the equipment listed for Style 702 AKII packing within the limits specified, where vibration and shaft eccentricity is a problem.

Style 707-T AKII Graphite Filament Packing |
|
- pH 0-14
- Surface Speeds: to 2000 fpm (10.1M/sec)
- Pressure
3,000 psi (206 BAR)
- Temperature: to 500°F (260°C)

Applications
|
Style 707-T AKII is braided from the purest continuous graphite yarn lubricated with PTFE. The result is a packing that provides resistance to extrusion without affecting conformability.
Style 707-T AKII is applicable in acids, bases, gasses, oils, and steam. Especially effective against black, green, red and white pulping liquors. |
High and low pressure feeders, outlet devices, top seperators, as well as chemical mixers and control valves where extrusion may be a problem and space for bull rings is limited.
